After the opening , the market rose aggresively.The Sensex gained more than 200 points .Nifty also gained a strenght of more than 60 points.
At 10:40 am , the Sensex gained 177 points to 22,643 and Nifty gained 50 points at 6765 levels . Midcap and Smallcap stocks also rose by buying . Midcap and Smallcap stocks are strong 0.7 per cent .
Oil and gas stocks moved up by 1.75 per cent . Bank , FMCG ,
Auto , Power shares rose 1 to 0.75 per cent . Consumer durables, realty , capital goods , healthcare , IT , technology stocks have also increased . Metal stocks are sluggish .
In Nifty stocks, GAIL , Asian Paints , Dr Reddy's , Tata Motors , BPCL , Reliance Industries , Bank of Baroda , ONGC , PNB , HDFC , Power Grid rose nearly 3 to 1.5 per cent .
In heavyweights shares Sun Pharma , Bajaj Auto , Tata Steel , DLF , Ambuja Cements , Tech Mahindra , Coal India , Hindalco , Sesa Sterlite is down by 1 to 0.2 per cent .
