Today the market lost its speed.In the early hours due to the International market cues , the market went to under pressure and then in the mid session
due to trade deficit,this pressure increased.At the end Sensex Nifty closed by felling 0.5 percent.The midcap index closed at red sign whereas there was good buying in smallcap stocks.
Finally, the BSE 30-share index, Sensex closed at 22,629 and the NSE 50-share index,Nifty closed at 6776.
In the market today,Banks, auto, oil & gas and capital goods saw selling pressure today while technology and healthcare stocks bucked the trend.
Top lender State Bank of India lost 1.6 percent while rival ICICI Bank declined 0.9 percent. Housing finance company HDFC slipped 1 percent.
Reliance Industries, Tata Motors, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Hero Motocorp and Sesa Sterlite stocks were down 1-1.7 percent.
In healthcare stocks, Sun Pharma climbed 1.9 percent while rival Cipla gained 1.2 percent and Dr Reddy’s was up 0.8 percent.
In midcap ABG Shipyard , Radico Khaitan , out of the city , Triveni Turbine and Eicher Motors has dropped the most from 7.6 to 3.5 per cent . In the midcap space, Gujarat Gas , RCF , India Cement , Finolex Industries and Videocon Industries rose highest from 20 to 5.5 per cent are closed . The Smallcap stocks Sikal Logistics , Dredging Corp , Ansal Properties , NCC and from 20 to 12.8 per cent are most Advanta .
Today in Asian markets, Japan's market Nikkei fell 2.4 per cent and closed at 13,960. Hang Seng closed at 23,000 fell by 183 points.
