Today after a good early trading session, now the market looks like sluggish.On Morning at 10:42 am, the Sensex rose 47 points to 22,465 and Nifty gained 14 points at 6710 levels . Midcap and Smallcap stocks are strong 0.5-0.8 percent .
IT and tech stocks rose 1 percent . Healthcare and consumer durables stocks are 0.5 percent stronger . Bank and realty stocks have an edge . Power , Oil & Gas , FMCG stocks are sluggish . Capital goods and metal stocks fell 0.5 per cent . Auto stocks are under pressure.
In Nifty NMDC 's shares rose 3 percent. Asian Paints , Infosys , Tata Power , BPCL , Lupin , TCS , ICICI Bank , Cipla , HDFC shares rose from 1.6 to 1 percent .
Bajaj Auto sales have increased by 8.5 percent in April as compared to March. Bajaj Auto has a slight edge .
In giants stocks Jindal Steel slipped by 3.5 percent. Tata Steel , Hindalco , M & M , Cairn India , Maruti Suzuki , Sterlite , Sesa , Gail fell 2-1 percent .
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya the jewellery share made a significant effect on market.Shree Ganesh Jewellery rose by 1.5 percent ,PC Jewelleres 3.5 percent and Tribhuvandas Bimji Zaveri moved up by 2 percent .
