Due to weak global cues , today Sensex and Nifty slipped from yesterday's great record height. Midcap and Smallcap stocks have continued to fall.Realty, consumer Durables, metal, capital goods and power stocks fell strongly. But there is buying trend in Pharma and FMCG stocks.
The 30-share BSE Sensex index is currently trading at 27009 level with a fell by 0.5 per cent or 130 points. The NSE 50-share Nifty index fell 41 points, ie 0.5 per cent,and trading at 8073.5 level.
During trading in the market , heavyweight stock DLF, JSPL, BHEL, Hindalco, PNB, Tata Steel, Tata Power and Tata Motors fell from 7.8 to 1.7 per cent. However, Cipla, Lupin, Asian Paints, HUL, Sun Pharma, HDFC and ITC shares rose by 1.1 to 0.6 per cent.
In midcap space Jaypee Infra , Unitech, Oberoi Realty, DB Realty, GMR Infra have fallen the most by 13.6 to 5 per cent.In smallcap space RSWM ,KGN Enterprises, Shriram EPC, PC Jewellers and IL & FS Engineering shares weakened by 8.7 to 6 per cent.
