Today market shows a fantastic recovery from the lower levels and the market closed by 1 percent growth . The Sensex rose 214 points to 25019 and the Nifty rose 72 points to close at 7474 levels . Midcap - Smallcap stocks rose 1-1.5 per cent . Sensex , Nifty , CNX Midcap closed at record levels . Sensex closed at 25,000 for the first time .

Metal shares surge 3.5 per cent . Oil & Gas and Power shares rose 2 per cent . FMCG , IT , technical and capital goods shares rose 1.6 to 1 per cent . Auto , consumer durables , realty stocks rose 0.7 per cent. Healthcare stocks rose slightly .However , bank shares fell nearly 0.5 per cent .

Heavyweights stocks M & M , HDFC Bank , IndusInd Bank , Cipla , Bank of Baroda , NTPC , ICICI Bank fell 1.5 to 0.5 percent .
