Due to Iraq crisis and inflation pressures , today market seems to had profit booking sessions. But in the last hours of trading , market had a good recovery due to buying. Despite the recovery seen in the last hours, the Sensex and Nifty closed in the red.
Midcap and smallcap index managed to close in green. Today, capital goods, auto and bank stocks fell down. But IT, technology and pharma stocks ended with buying trend.
Finally, the BSE 30-share Sensex index declined marginally by 38 points ie 0.15 percent to close at 25190.5. The NSE 50-share Nifty index fell 8.5 points, ie 0.1 per cent to close at 7533.5.
