Due to growing concern over Iraq and the upturn in crude oil prices,Indian stock market fell 1.5 percent.Sensex reached 25,228 fell 348 points and the Nifty fell 108 points to close at 7542. Midcap and Smallcap stocks declined from 3 to 2.5 per cent.
Realty shares rolled down by 5 per cent. Power, consumer durables, metal shares broke 3.5 to 3 per cent. Banks, capital goods, oil & gas, auto shares fell 2.3 to 1.7 percent. Technical, Healthcare, FMCG stocks dropped 0.5 per cent.
In Bank stocks, Bank of India, Axis Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Yes Bank, SBI, IndusInd Bank, Federal Bank, PNB, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank fell 6.7 to 2 per cent.
In IT stocks HCL Tech rose 2 percent. eclerks, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, MindTree have 1 to 0.2 per cent growth.
