Due to good recovery in the last trading session , the market closed firmly in the fourth consecutive day. Sensex and Nifty has once again closed at record levels.
Sensex gained 3.5 points to 25,584 and Nifty gained 2 points to 7656. There was a weakness in midcap stocks Smallcap stocks showed a slight edge.
Consumer durables stocks surge 3.5 per cent. IT, Technical, Healthcare shares rose 2.3 to 2 per cent. FMCG and auto stocks were sluggish. Realty shares broke by 3 per cent. Oil & gas, capital goods, power, metal, bank shares fell 1 to 0.75 per cent.
