Due to the expectations failed over railway budget, stock market declined by 2 per cent. The Sensex fell 518 points to 25582 and Nifty fell 164 points to close at 7623. Midcap and Smallcap stocks declined from 3.6 to 4.2 per cent.
Realty shares declined by 7 percent and power stocks fell 6.5 percent. Capital goods, consumer durables, metal, oil & gas stocks broke 5-3 per cent. Auto, Bank, Healthcare, Technical, IT stocks fell from 2.2 to 1 per cent. FMCG shares slipped 0.5 per cent.
