Indian stock market today opened with a great start in this new week.It touches a new record height.Sensex created 26116.7 and Nifty 7791.4 .Currently, the market has come down slightly from the upper levels.
At 11 am, the Sensex rose 99 points to 26,061 and Nifty gained 22 points at 7773 levels. Midcap and Smallcap stocks are strong by 0.3 to 0.6 per cent.
IT and tech stocks surged 1.75 to 1.5 per cent. Power, realty, auto, healthcare, metal, capital goods stocks are strong 0.8 to 0.4 per cent. The banks, oil & gas, consumer durables, FMCG shares fell 0.5 to 0.2 percent.
In nifty IDFC stocks rose 4.5 percent. Tata Power, Dr Reddy's, Infosys, TCS, DLF, Jindal Steel, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, Hero Moto, Power Grid, Tata Motors, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco rose 3-1 per cent.
Heavyweights stock Kotak Mahindra Bank broke by 2.5 percent. BPCL, Ultratech Cement, HDFC, United Spirits, ONGC, GAIL, Bank of Baroda, HDFC, Lupin fell from 1.5 to 0.5 per cent.
