The Indian stock market today has a strong lead.The Sensex rose 230 points in early trade and Nifty have reached close to 7,525. Midcap and Smallcap stocks also have growth.
On morning at 10:45 am, the Sensex gained 216 points to 25,223 and Nifty gained 63 points at 7518 levels. Midcap and Smallcap stocks surge 1.5 to 1.7 per cent.
Consumer durables and capital goods stocks surge 2 per cent. Bank, Realty, Oil & Gas, Power, auto and metal shares rose 1.7 to 1 per cent.There is a light edge in technology stocks. IT and Healthcare stocks are sluggish. FMCG stocks are weak.
In Nifty ICICI Bank's shares rose 3 per cent. NMDC, GAIL, L & T, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, IDFC, DLF, ONGC, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Axis Bank, ACC, Coal India rose from 2.5 to 1.5 per cent.
Heavyweights stock Dr Reddy's broke by 2 per cent. Asian Paints, ITC, Cipla, TCS, Seas Sterlite fell 1.3 to 0.5 per cent.
In midcap space, Rajesh Exports, Syndicate Bank, TVS Motor, Coromandel International, Indian Bank rose 8-4 per cent.
In Smallcap stocks Tata Sponge, Hitachi Homes, Marathon Realty, UB Holdings surge 8.8 to 7.5 per cent.
