Today the market has an eye on Modi government's first finance budget.It opened without any excitement except budget.However, in the early trading it overcome with pressure.
At 9:22 am, the Sensex rose 12 points to 25,457 and Nifty at 7579, down 6 points. In the midcap stocks are traded flat.
Capital goods and power stocks are strong by 0.5 percent. Metal, auto, IT, technology stocks have a slight edge. Banks, realty, oil & gas, consumer durables, FMCG stocks are sluggish. Healthcare stocks have weakness.
In Nifty Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, Coal India, Hero Moto, Hindalco, DLF, Tata Power, HDFC, BPCL have 1 to 0.4 per cent growth.
Heavyweights stock Tech Mahindra broke by 2 per cent. Lupin, Asian Paints, Dr Reddy's, Cipla, IndusInd Bank, ONGC fell 1.5 to 0.75 per cent.

Today the Equity benchmarks ended at new closing high on Thursday. The Sensex rose 77.96 points to 26638.11 led by capital goods, FMCG, oil & gas and private banks.The Nifty closed above the 7950 on the expiry day for August derivative contracts, up 18.30 points at 7954.35.
