Sensex Nifty end flat | NSE BSE Equity Tips or calls for 18 july 2014

After 2 days rally , today market seems to be sluggish.Sensex reached 25,561 index gained 11 points and the Nifty rose 16 points to close at 7640. However, Midcap and Smallcap stocks surged 1.3 per cent.

Metal, Power, Consumer durables stocks rose 2.5 to 2 per cent. Capital goods stocks rose 1 per cent Healthcare, FMCG, tech stocks strengthened from 0.5 to 0.2 per cent. IT and banking stocks were sluggish. Oil and gas stocks fell 0.4 per cent. Auto stocks had under pressure.

DERC have increased 8.32 per cent in power tariff.So Tata Power gained 3.7 percent and Reliance Infra gained 0.75 per cent.

Grasim, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ACC, Hindalco, UltraTech Cement, Coal India, Tata Steel, NTPC, Lupin, Jindal Steel, Power Grid rose from 3.25 to 2 per cent.

Crompton Greaves rose by 13.5 per cent.

International Market

• European market has a weak trend. CAC broke by 0.5 per cent.DAX and FTSE fell 0.35 percent.
• In Asian market Shanghai Composite fell 0.5 per cent and Taiwan Index fell 0.8 percent. Nikkei and Strait Times are dull.
• Rupee traded in low against US dollar. Rupee is trading at 60.12 level.
