Market is opened with a bang in a hope of NDA government. During trading , Sensex reached 25000 and Nifty beyond 7500.Sensex at 25375.6 and Nifty at 7563.5 made a new life high .
However , due to profit at the upper levels , the market halt for few minute. Sensex surged 216 points to 24,122 and Nifty gained 80 points to closed at 7203. Midcap and Smallcap stocks rose 1.5 to 1.25 percent .
Nifty closed at record levels . The total turnover was Rs 4.83 lakh crore , which is the third largest . NSE cash's turnover is Rs 35 644 crore , which is the highest since May 2009 .
Realty shares surged 6 percent . Bank shares rose nearly 4.5 per cent .Power , capital goods , oil & gas, metals shares climbed 3.3 to 2.6 per cent . Auto shares were nearly 1 per cent stronger .

Govt bank stocks Canara Bank, Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank , PNB , IDBI , Union Bank , Oriental Bank of Commerce , Bank of India , SBI , Syndicate Bank, IOB , Bank of Baroda moved up 8.75 to 2.25 per cent .
Private bank stocks Axis Bank , ICICI Bank , Federal Bank , IndusInd Bank , Yes Bank , Kotak Mahindra Bank , HDFC Bank rose 5.75 to 2 per cent
Energy stocks Indian Oil , BPCL , Power Grid , Reliance Power , Tata Power , Reliance Industries , Cairn India , NTPC , GAIL , ONGC stocks are 7-1 per cent stronger .
In Metal stocks Sesa Sterlite surge 11 per cent . Jindal Saw , NMDC , Jindal Steel, Hindustan Copper , SAIL , Moil rose from 9.5 to 2 per cent .

Pharma stocks Cadila Healthcare , Dr Reddy's , Cipla , Glenmark , Divi's Lab , Sun Pharma fell about 3.5 to 1.5 per cent .
