Despite of good international signals and strong rupee , the market closed in dullness.Sensex rose 20 points closed at 22,344 and Nifty closed at 6660 gained 7 points . Midcap stocks slipped. Smallcap stocks rose slightly.
Consumer durables stocks rose 1.5 percent . Bank , auto , capital goods shares strengthened from 0.7 to 0.4 percent . Power , IT , technical , metal stocks rose slightly. Realty and FMCG stocks fell nearly 1 percent . Oil & Gas and Healthcare stocks slipped.
In Nifty stocks BPCL , Hero Honda Motors , ITC , Lupin , Bharti Airtel , Jindal Steel , Ambuja Cements , Sun Pharma , IndusInd Bank , NTPC , TCS , ONGC , Coal India shares fell 2 to 0.5 percent .
