After 2 consecutive days of dull trade,today Indian stock market traded aggresively. Sensex surged 319 points to 24,693 and Nifty gained 91 points to close at 7367 . Midcap and Smallcap stocks rose nearly 2 per cent
Power shares surged 3.7 per cent . Capital goods , realty , oil & gas, metals , auto , bank shares rose 2 to 1.6 per cent . Tech shares were 0.5 percent stronger. IT stocks have a slight edge . Healthcare shares are dull . However , FMCG stocks fell nearly 1 per cent and consumer durables stocks 0.5 percent .
